Introduction
The application of the finite element method in routine geotechnical engineering is now widespread and cost effective. Simulation and modelling of soil-structure interaction problems are frequently being used to provide a better view of forces, displacements and machanisms of geotechnical structures.
Plaxis finite element programs are being constantly developed and refined. The programs are the state-of-the-art tools that are assisting geotechnical professionals in making their simulations and analysis realistic.
In this free program there will be two lectures. Un the first, The lecture will touch on technological improvements in the 2D and 3D finite element programs. In the second part of the program the lecture will be on the usage and presentation of soil-structure interaction problems that have been simulates using the various Plaxis codes.
Who and why should attend
The seminar will be of interest to engineering professionals dealing with geotechnics, such as :
- Geotechnical Engineers
- Civil Engineers
- Structural Engineers
- Geologist
- Researchers and Academicians
Hear from Plaxis experts on :
- The use of Plaxis finite element programs in the industry.
- Stay up to date with methods and modelling possibilites.
- Hear about techniques and discuss on advanced methodlogies on the modelling of slope stability, excavations, tunnels, piled groups and site response related to earth quake problems.
